Singin’ in the Rain Beginner Tap Masterclass

Try this free taster class, for the musical theatre lovers out there. Grab a brolly and get tapping with Dance with Sonia Brown’s Singin’ in the Rain masterclass! “What a glorious feeling!” Geared towards absolute beginners, no prior dance experience needed, and suitable for those who need a low-impact option, in this masterclass you’ll have the chance to learn choreography from the smash hit Broadway show! The class is aimed towards adults, however accompanied children above 12 are welcome.

Please wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in and a full soled shoe that is not too grippy or tap shoes. Bring a bottle of water, and a large umbrella you can place on the floor and still reach the handle comfortably (avoid compact/collapsing umbrellas).

As well as bringing a fun hour and a half of entertainment to a dull November evening, this masterclass offers an insight into Dance with Sonia Brown’s ‘Low-Impact Tap’ classes. These classes operate across Reading and Thatcham, are suitable for any age adult looking for a gentler alternative to tap dancing, and have been featured on the ITV news!
